Kallam Brahmans is owned and operated by Malcolm and Jane Boys and their children Neil and Isabella and is situated at Nanneella in Northern Victoria approximately 20kms from the mighty Murray River in the tourist town of Echuca. Kallam Brahmans was established in 1998 and registered with the Australian Brahman Breeders Association in 1999 as stud no 4522.

Malcolm and Jane have traveled extensively sourcing Brahman genetics.  The stud has Brahman Genetics to suit all climates and conditions.  We have all colours primarily red and grey and both horned and polled cattle with poll females making up 20% of our breeding herd.  Our goal is to produce quality early maturing correct functional Brahmans rather than quantity.

Malcolm is a professional Artificial Insemination (AI) Technician, he has also successfully completed the Non-Surgical Embryo Transfer (ET) course.  This will allow us to fully utilise our Hudgins genetics and our exclusive pedigreed animals sired by Mr Fontenot 311 and MSP Sir Petty John.  See our donor females and Sires in Use Malcolm is qualified to offer courses for Do It yourself Artificial Insemination Technicians.

In 2007 we successfully exported Brahman embryos from Jomanda Miss Merlene 173 to New Zealand.  We are able to export to most countries please check with us as to availability.  In June 2008 we will be sending semen to New Zealand from Kallam Sam Newman (Poll) and Kallam Merlene's Kruiser, semen will be available through Genetic Enterprises.  November 2008 will see us send semen to Malaysia from Kallam Sam Newman (Poll).

Annual events where Kallam Brahmans can be seen are the Stock and Land Beef Week in February and August and the Elmore Field Days in October.  The stud is open at other times by appointment for your inspection so if you are going past and wish to call in please do so.

The Southern Brahman Breeders Group are in the planning stages to hold an On Farm Challenge (OFC) in March 2009, this is an exciting concept and one we are pleased to support.  Our animals will be showcased for this event.
